BigMarker vs GoTo Webinar

BigMarker logovsGoTo Webinar logo
BigMarker covers webinars, hybrid and in-person events in one browser-based platform. GoTo Webinar focuses on regular webinars with registration, payments and reports. Both need a sales conversation.

The verdict

If you need one platform for webinars, on-demand content, hybrid and in-person events, pick BigMarker. If you mainly run larger, repeated webinars or training sessions, want paid events or certification, and already use other GoTo products, pick GoTo Webinar.

Expect a conversation with sales either way. For a small team that wants to sign up in five minutes and run a session that afternoon, I'd look at lighter tools first. Before you buy, run a trial event and check what data reaches your CRM and when. Ask each vendor which tier holds the features you need.

What the data says
  • Both cover 8 of the 8 features we compared.
  • In our Events ranking, GoTo Webinar places 4 and BigMarker 2 of 7.

Who each is for

BigMarker logo

Choose BigMarker if…

Pick GoTo Webinar if you are a corporate training or marketing team running regular, larger webinars for leads, customers or staff. You get branded registration pages, automated invitations, reminders, polls, Q&A, breakout rooms, practice mode and attendance reports.

It lists HubSpot, Salesforce Pardot and Marketo for CRM sync, and it can take payment for paid events. It is also a natural fit if you already use GoTo products. The interface can feel heavier than newer browser-only tools, and pricing is not clear up front, so ask for a quote against your attendee numbers.

GoTo Webinar logo

Choose GoTo Webinar if…

Pick BigMarker if events are a channel and you run several formats. It suits marketing teams, associations and training organisations. It has polls, Q&A, networking, lounges, mobile event apps and on-demand hubs with classes, assessments and certificates.

It has an API for managing events and registering users from your own systems, though API access, single sign-on and white-label domains sit on enterprise tiers. Plans are quoted and renew yearly, so bring your attendee numbers, host count and formats to the call. If you host an occasional webinar, it is more than you need.
