Live polls and Q&A

What it is
Live polls and Q&A let the host ask the audience a question and collect answers during the session, and let attendees send in their own questions. A poll shows results as votes come in, and a Q&A panel can let people vote questions up so the most popular ones are answered first. For example, a host might poll attendees about their biggest challenge and then pick a topic based on the answer. BigMarker, Demio, GoTo Webinar, Livestorm, Webex Events and Zoom Webinars are examples of tools listed with this feature.
Why it matters
A webinar without interaction is a video that people can easily leave open in another tab. Polls and questions keep attention and tell you what the audience cares about, which is useful for sales follow-up. You need them for webinars, training and launches. For a short announcement with no audience feedback, they are not essential.
What to check
- Can attendees ask questions anonymously, and can you answer them in text as well as aloud?
- Can you launch several polls and share the results with the audience or keep them private?
- Are the poll answers and questions saved against each attendee in your reports?
- Can you export the questions after the session for follow-up content?
