Livestorm
Why Livestorm
Livestorm is a browser-based platform for running live, on-demand and automated webinars without downloading software. It includes registration pages, engagement tools like polls and Q&A, email reminders, and analytics, with integrations for CRM and marketing platforms like HubSpot and Salesforce. It suits marketing, sales, customer success and HR teams.
What it does
Livestorm is a webinar and virtual events platform that runs in the browser. Nobody downloads software: attendees click a link and join. You can run live webinars, on-demand webinars and automated ones that replay on a schedule you set.
Around the session itself it gives you registration pages, email reminders, polls, Q&A, chat and analytics. It also covers multi-session virtual events, restreaming to other platforms and AI features such as transcription and translation.
Why you would need it
Webinars go wrong in the gaps between tools. The sign-up form lives in one place, the video room in another, and the attendee list ends up in a CSV that somebody exports on a Friday afternoon. By Monday the leads have gone cold.
I would look at Livestorm when webinars have become a repeat channel and the manual handling is the bottleneck. What changes is that the registration, the attendance and the questions people asked sit in one record, and from there they move into your CRM without anyone touching them.
Where it fits
Livestorm sits between your promotion and your CRM. Emails, ads and landing pages feed it registrants. It feeds the CRM with who signed up, who showed up and what they did in the session. Livestorm lists native integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo and Pardot, plus Zapier.
It replaces the patchwork of a video tool, a form tool and a spreadsheet. If you only host the odd internal call, a normal meeting tool is enough and you do not need this layer.
What stands out
- Pricing follows attendee credits, and team members do not use credits. A bigger team does not raise the bill, a bigger audience does.
- Livestorm says it is EU-hosted, ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant by design. For a European buyer that is often the deciding point.
- Live, on-demand and automated sessions sit in one product, so a webinar that worked live can run again on autopilot.
- There is an official MCP server and a public API with webhooks, so the data does not stay locked in the app.
My take
Understand the pricing model before you buy. You pay for attendee credits, not seats, and each unique attendee uses a credit per session, whether they join live or watch on demand. That suits a team running a few big events better than a team running many small ones.
The free plan is small: a limited number of attendee credits for the year, short events and a cap on how many events you can run. I treat it as a way to test the room and the registration flow, not as a plan to run a programme on. The Pro plan also caps the length of a session, so check that against your longest training or summit.
Verdict
Pick Livestorm if webinars are a repeat channel, your CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce, and you care where attendee data is stored. Skip it if you run only a handful of sessions a year, or if all you need is a meeting room with a few listeners.
Notes
Your note
Before you choose
Credits, not seats
Pro is sold as annual packs of attendee credits. That makes cost depend on your audience size, not your team size. Estimate how many unique attendees you expect across a year, including people who only watch the replay, and compare that with the pack sizes before you commit.

The free plan is for testing
The free plan limits attendee credits, event length and the number of events. It is enough to learn the tool and to run a trial webinar with friendly attendees. It is not enough to run a regular webinar series for real leads.
The API needs switching on
Livestorm's own docs say the Public API has to be enabled on your workspace through support. The same applies to the MCP server, which is built on that API. If automation is the reason you are buying, ask for this on day one.
Compare it with other webinar tools
Look at Zoom Webinars, BigMarker, Demio, GoTo Webinar and Webex Events. If your webinars are pre-recorded and run on a schedule, eWebinar is worth a look too. Run the same test webinar in two of them and compare how registrant data reaches your CRM.
