For online webinars and virtual events, and a small B2B team that wants to try before buying, pick Livestorm. You can test the room and the registration flow on the free plan, and you can see roughly what it will cost from your audience size.
If you run hybrid conferences with several tracks, a venue and a need to report across in-person and online guests, pick Webex Events. That is more convincing again if your company already runs on Webex or Cisco.
I'd pick Livestorm for most readers of this site. Webex Events is more platform than a webinar needs, and it comes with a sales process and a quote. Do not buy the bigger tool for the odd online session.

Choose Livestorm if…
Pick Webex Events if the event is a real programme. Think of a conference with several tracks, mixed audiences, mobile apps and sponsors, where registration, streaming and results would otherwise sit in separate tools.
It makes most sense for organisations that already use Cisco or Webex and want one vendor for the event stack. If you use another meeting platform, check how registration, streaming and CRM data connect first.
Expect a heavier setup and no public price. It may be sold as part of select Webex Suite enterprise agreements, so check your agreement, then ask for a demo and a quote based on attendee numbers, format and events a year.
Choose Webex Events if…
Pick Livestorm if webinars are a repeat channel and your CRM is HubSpot or Salesforce. Registration, attendance and the questions people asked sit in one record and flow into the CRM.
It is also the one to look at if attendee data must stay in the EU. Livestorm says it is EU-hosted, ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant by design.
Understand the credits first. Each unique attendee uses one per session, live or on demand, and team members use none. The free plan is small, and the Pro plan caps session length, so check your longest training. The API and the MCP server need enabling through support.
