Demio vs Zoom Webinars

Demio logovsZoom Webinars logo
Demio is a dedicated webinar tool that scores attendee engagement for sales. Zoom Webinars adds broadcast capacity to a Zoom account. The choice turns on whether your team already lives in Zoom.

The verdict

If webinars are a lead source and you want to know which attendees to call, pick Demio. The engagement tracking is what you are paying for.

If your team already uses Zoom every day, your audience knows it, and you need big broadcasts such as town halls or company announcements, pick Zoom Webinars. Your hosts already know the interface and there is no second tool to learn.

This one truly depends. Zoom Webinars is priced per host on top of a Zoom licence, so check the total before you assume it is the cheaper route. If you are not on Zoom already, I'd start with Demio. If you are, run one test in each and compare what reaches your CRM.

Who each is for

Demio logo

Choose Demio if…

Pick Demio if you are a marketing or sales team running lead-generation webinars or product demos, and you want engagement scores that tell sales whom to call.

It suits a recurring format. Run it live a few times, see which polls and handouts get a response, then turn the best session into an automated one.

It is less suited to one-off events with very big audiences or many hosts. The higher tiers are priced per host, and the entry plan covers one host and a small room. There is no free plan, only a limited 14-day trial, so test the room and the CRM sync with one real session.

Choose Zoom Webinars if…

Pick Zoom Webinars if your team is already standardised on Zoom and you need large broadcasts. That covers lead-generation webinars, town halls and company-wide announcements, with registration, recordings and AI-generated chapters and clips.

Production Studio lets you build layouts and switch scenes without a crew, though it takes some setup to use well. Simulive plays pre-recorded sessions as live events.

Skip it if you are not otherwise on Zoom, or if webinars are a core marketing channel and you want a tool built around them. Multi-stage events, ticketing and sponsor features need the Events tier, so pick the tier by the features you will use.
