Demio vs Livestorm

Demio logovsLivestorm logo
Both run browser-based webinars that feed your CRM. Demio is built around engagement scoring for sales follow-up, while Livestorm adds a free plan, EU hosting and credit-based pricing.

The verdict

For a small team whose only goal is to hand sales a short list of engaged people after each webinar, pick Demio. The focus level score and the poll and handout tracking are the reason it exists, and the setup is quick.

If you run webinars on a regular schedule, want a free plan to test the room, care where attendee data is stored, or plan to automate around the API or MCP server, pick Livestorm. Its pricing follows audience size, not team size, so a bigger team does not raise the bill.

For most small B2B teams I'd pick Livestorm. You can try it for real before paying, and the EU hosting answers a question that buyers ask. Demio wins only when the engagement score is what you will actually act on.

Who each is for

Choose Demio if…

Pick Demio if webinars are a lead source and your sales team will act on engagement data. A marketing team running a recurring product demo or training session fits well. You run it live a few times, see which polls and handouts get a response, then turn the best session into an automated one.

Agree one rule with sales first. For example, anyone who joins a poll and downloads a handout gets a call within a day. Without that rule the score is just a report.

Demio is a poor fit for rare, large one-off events or many hosts. Capacity and host limits sit on the plans, and the higher tiers are priced per host. There is no free plan, only a limited 14-day trial.

Choose Livestorm if…

Pick Livestorm if webinars have become a repeat channel and the manual handling is the bottleneck. Registration, attendance and the questions people asked sit in one record, and they move into HubSpot or Salesforce without anyone exporting a file.

It also suits teams that need attendee data hosted in the EU, and teams that want a free plan to test the registration flow before paying. The free plan is small, so treat it as a trial, not a programme.

Check the pricing model first. You pay for attendee credits, and each unique attendee uses one per session, live or on demand. That suits a few big events better than many small ones. The API and MCP server also need switching on through support, so ask on day one.
