Recurly
How to automate Recurly
Native integrations
Recurly documents integrations with Salesforce, Zendesk, Xero, QuickBooks Online, Oracle NetSuite, Avalara, Vertex, Mailchimp, Braze and Snowflake. Start with your accounting package. An idea: have invoices and payments flow to your ledger automatically, so month-end close is a review instead of data entry.
API and webhooks
Recurly has a REST API with documented API keys, client libraries and Recurly.js for your own checkout. Webhooks send JSON or XML notifications for accounts, subscriptions, invoices, payments and dunning events. An idea: when an invoice enters dunning, create a task for your customer success owner so a person can contact high-value accounts before the subscription lapses.
MCP server
Recurly has an official public MCP server called Compass, in early access. It gives AI tools access to Recurly documentation and a coding assistant for API questions. It does not give access to your customer billing data. An idea: use it with Claude to draft the integration code for a new webhook consumer.
No-code automation
Zapier and Tray.io are listed as workflow automation partners. A simple flow: when a subscription is cancelled, post it in Slack, add the customer to a win-back list and log the reason in your CRM.
