Consolidates customer data, health scoring and team workflows in one workspace for customer success.

Why Vitally

Brings together product usage data, CRM records and customer communications in a unified workspace for customer success teams. Includes AI-generated customer summaries and insights, automated playbooks and dynamic health scoring. Designed specifically for B2B SaaS companies and teams managing customer success and retention at scale.

Best for
A B2B SaaS customer success team that wants customer data, health scores, playbooks and notes in one workspace instead of a CRM plus spreadsheets, and uses a CRM such as HubSpot.

What it does

Vitally is a customer success platform. It pulls product usage data, CRM records and customer communication into one workspace where customer success managers do their daily work. On top sit health scores, automated playbooks, collaborative documents linked to the customer record, projects, goals, surveys and meetings.

An AI layer, called Vitally AI or Copilot, produces customer summaries and can take some actions on its own. The vendor says more than 600 B2B customer success teams use it.

Why you would need it

The pain shows up when a renewal is close and nobody knows how the account is doing. Usage lives in the product, conversations live in email and call tools, contract data lives in billing, and the CSM keeps the rest in their head. Every account review starts with a hunt for data.

Vitally puts those signals next to each other, scores them and turns a drop in health into a task for a named person. The shift is from reacting to a cancellation notice to working an account while there is still time.

Where it fits

It sits above the tools it connects to. The vendor lists more than 30 integrations, among them HubSpot with a two-way sync, Gmail, Gong, Google Calendar, Chargebee, Amplitude, and warehouse syncs from BigQuery, Redshift and S3.

It does not replace your CRM. The CRM holds the deal. Vitally holds what happens after the deal is signed. It can replace a health score spreadsheet, a notes tool and some manual reporting.

What stands out

  • Dynamic health scores with custom reporting dashboards.
  • Automated playbooks that create tasks and assign them to a CSM.
  • Collaborative documents and mutual success plans that customers can take part in.
  • An official MCP server and a REST API, so you can query and update Vitally from other tools.

My take

I would pick Vitally when customer success already has a process and the problem is scattered data. It gives a team a single place to work from, and the playbooks make follow-up repeatable.

What I would watch is the data. A health score is only as good as the usage and billing data behind it. If you cannot connect product usage, the score becomes an opinion with a number on it. Pricing is on request and sits behind three plans named after the touch model: Tech-Touch, Hybrid-Touch and High-Touch.

Verdict

Pick it if you are a B2B SaaS team with enough accounts that data is scattered and you can connect your CRM and product data. Skip it if you have a handful of customers, if you need a free plan, or if you want to see prices without talking to the vendor.

Before you choose

Pricing only on request

There is no free plan and no public price list. The pricing page shows three plans, Tech-Touch, Hybrid-Touch and High-Touch, built around how much hands-on contact you have with customers. You need a conversation to see what any of them costs, so ask for a quote against your account count early.

The value depends on your data

Health scoring only helps if usage, billing and CRM data flow in. List the sources you need before you buy, and check each one on the integrations list. Warehouse syncs help if your product data lives in BigQuery or Redshift, but they take setup time.

A tool for a team, not a person

Vitally is built for several CSMs, leaders and operations people working in one place. A solo founder with a few accounts will use a fraction of it. A CRM with a few custom fields may do the job.

Alternatives to compare

Look at Gainsight for a broader suite, Planhat and ChurnZero for similar customer success workspaces, Totango and Custify for more options. Compare how each handles health scoring, playbooks and your CRM.
