What it is
Quizzes and assessments are questions that people answer after reading or watching training material, with scores recorded in the tool. Question types may include multiple choice, true or false and short answers, with a pass mark you set. For example, a new employee completes a safety module and must score at least eighty per cent before it counts as done. Trainual is a tool that lists this feature.
Why it matters
Reading a document does not prove someone understood it. A quiz shows where knowledge is missing and gives you a record, which matters for compliance, safety and client-facing processes. For light internal how-to pages, an assessment may be more than you need.
What to check
- Which question types are supported, and can you set a pass mark?
- Can people retake a quiz, and can you limit the number of attempts?
- Can you see results per person and per question?
- Can you assign a quiz automatically and chase people who have not finished?
