1. Check your plan before you build on Apollo
Apollo's docs describe an API for organisation and people enrichment, and they describe more than one way to sign in. Whether your plan includes API access is a question for your Apollo account, not for the docs, so check it first.
I have not connected Apollo. Surfe covers what the free audit needs, and this page stays short until I do.

How to use Apollo
Apollo cuts through the noise of lead generation by providing sales teams with accurate, verified prospect data combined with intelligent sequencing tools. Instead of wasting time searching for contact information and qualifying leads manually, sales teams use Apollo to focus their effort on prospects most likely to buy.
How to automate Apollo
MCP server
Apollo has an official MCP server at its own endpoint, using Streamable HTTP and OAuth. It is built into connectors for Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Replit and Cursor, and a headless option uses an API key.
One idea: ask Claude to build a five-step sequence for one persona and leave it inactive so you can review it before launch. The vendor's own docs use this example. Enrichment through MCP uses credits.
API and webhooks
Apollo has a documented API for people search and more. A workflow tool such as n8n can call it, for example to pull new matches for a saved search into a sheet each morning. Check the API reference for webhook support, and otherwise plan on scheduled calls.
Native integrations
Apollo lists more than 200 integrations, and Apollo Anywhere brings it into your CRM, Gmail and browser. A simple setup is to sync contacts to HubSpot and export a segment to Lemlist when you want richer personalisation.
