Hunter
How to automate Hunter
Native integrations
Hunter connects to Gmail and Google Workspace, Outlook and Microsoft 365, and any SMTP/IMAP mailbox for sending. It also has native connections to HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive, and a Google Sheets add-on.
Automation idea: when you find an address for a prospect, create the contact in your CRM and add it to a sequence in the same step, so nobody copies data by hand.
API and webhooks
Hunter has a REST API with endpoints for Domain Search, Email Finder, Email Verifier, Discover, enrichment, leads, lead lists, sequences and sending. A free API key is available, and the vendor publishes an OpenAPI description. Webhooks can be managed through the API and are marked as beta.
Automation idea: verify every email that arrives through a website form, and flag the ones that bounce before your sales team spends time on them.
MCP server
Hunter runs an official remote MCP server at mcp.hunter.io. It is included in every plan and works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other MCP clients. You authenticate with your API key or the one-click sign-in flow where your client supports it.
Automation idea: ask your AI assistant to find the decision-makers at ten target accounts, verify their addresses, and save the verified ones to a lead list, all in one conversation.
No-code automation
Hunter has apps for Zapier and Make, and it works with Clay. Spreadsheet and CRM connections through Zapier are listed for tools such as Airtable and Excel.
Automation idea: send new rows from a Google Sheet to Hunter, write the verified address back, and push the clean rows into your CRM.
