Dynamic content blocks

What it is
Dynamic content means you write a single email in which certain blocks change depending on who receives it. A block might show a different product, discount or call to action for each customer group, or use the recipient's tag, location or past purchases to choose. For example, one newsletter could show a beginner guide to new subscribers and an advanced guide to existing customers. Kit, Loops and Mailchimp are examples of tools listed with this feature.
Why it matters
Without it, you either send the same message to everyone or build and maintain several nearly identical emails. Dynamic blocks save time and keep the message relevant. You need them when your list contains clearly different groups, such as customers and prospects. If your list is small and uniform, simple segmentation may be enough.
What to check
- Which data decides what a person sees: tags, segments, custom fields or purchase history?
- Can you preview the email as a person from each group before sending?
- What do contacts with missing data see, and can you set a fallback?
- Is there a limit to how many blocks or rules one email can hold?
