Built-in landing pages

What it is
A built-in landing page is a simple web page you create and publish inside the email or marketing tool itself. It usually has a headline, a short pitch and a form, and anyone who fills it in is added to your contact list automatically. For example, you could offer a free guide on a page hosted by the tool and start a welcome sequence as soon as someone signs up. Brevo, Kit, Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor are examples of tools listed with this feature.
Why it matters
A separate page builder means another subscription and another connection that can break. If you do not have a website, or your developer is busy, a built-in page lets you start collecting contacts the same day. You need it for lead magnets, event sign-ups and small campaigns. If you already have a website with forms that feed your email tool, you may never use it.
What to check
- Can you use your own domain for the page, or does it sit on the vendor's address?
- How much control do you have over design, mobile layout and adding tracking codes?
- Does a sign-up automatically add the person to a list, tag or automation?
- Are there limits on the number of pages or visitors?
