How to automate SocialPilot
Native integrations
SocialPilot connects to Slack for workflow notifications, to Canva for designs, to Google Drive and Dropbox for media, and to Unsplash and Giphy for stock images and GIFs. It also lists Bitly and Rebrandly for link shortening and Feedly for sharing stories.
A practical idea: send approval notifications to a client channel in Slack, so the client sees the request where they already work. Pair it with Canva so designers drop finished assets straight into the post.
MCP server
SocialPilot publishes an official MCP server at mcp.socialpilot.co/mcp. Connect Claude or another AI agent and it can create and schedule posts across accounts and client groups. It can also save posts as drafts when a review is needed, and show queued, published and undelivered posts.
An idea that fits an agency: ask the assistant each Monday to list posts that were skipped or not delivered last week, and to draft replacements as drafts for approval. The vendor does not make it clear which plans include the MCP server, so confirm that before you build on it.
API and webhooks
There is a public OAuth2 API, documented at dev-apidoc.socialpilot.co. The pricing page lists API access under Enterprise, so check that your plan includes it. I did not find webhook documentation in what the vendor publishes, so assume you will poll rather than listen for events.
An idea: have your CMS call the API when a blog post goes live, so a draft social post is waiting in the queue for the account owner to approve.
No-code automation
SocialPilot lists a Zapier integration. Before you design a flow, check which triggers and actions the SocialPilot app offers. A sensible first Zap is a content sheet or an RSS feed that creates draft posts, with a human approving them in SocialPilot.
