How to automate Metricool

Native integrations

Metricool connects to Google Drive, Canva and Adobe Express inside the planner, so you can pick designs and files without downloading them first. It also ships a Chrome extension for scheduling while you browse. For reports it connects to Looker Studio. For website numbers it lists connectors for WordPress, Shopify and Squarespace.

A good first step is Looker Studio: build one dashboard that puts social numbers next to your site traffic.

API and webhooks

Metricool has API documentation, and the pricing page says API access comes with the Advanced plan. Use it when you want social numbers in your own system. One idea: pull weekly post and engagement data into a sheet or database so your team sees it next to pipeline numbers.

MCP server

Metricool has an official MCP server. Its own page lists Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT, Mistral Le Chat, Make and n8n as clients, and says it is also available as a connector inside Claude. An idea: ask your assistant which Reel did best last month and why, then ask it to schedule a follow-up post on Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok at the best time, and approve the result yourself.

No-code automation

Metricool lists Zapier and Make for automation. Confirm which triggers and actions the apps offer before you build. The idea I would test first: when a blog post goes live, create a draft post in the planner, so someone only has to review and schedule it. Links to Zapier and Make are the places to start.
