How to automate Lemon Squeezy
API and webhooks
The REST API follows the JSON:API format, has a test mode for building safely, and allows 300 calls per minute. Official libraries exist for JavaScript and Laravel. Webhooks need a callback URL, a signing secret and a list of events, and you can set them up in the dashboard or through the API. You can also pass custom data through the checkout, such as a user ID. An idea: when an order comes in, a webhook creates the account in your app and sends the licence key to the customer.
No-code automation
Check whether there is a Zapier or Make app for Lemon Squeezy before you plan a flow around one. A workable route is to send the webhook to a catch-hook URL in Zapier, Make or n8n. An idea: on each new subscription, add the customer to your CRM and post a note in Slack.
MCP server
Lemon Squeezy does not advertise an official MCP server, so for AI agents the API is the route.
