Gainsight
How to automate Gainsight
Native integrations
Gainsight is designed to sit on top of your CRM and product analytics, so start there. Feed it CRM account data, product usage and support signals, and let it write health scores back to the CRM. An easy first rule is to alert the account owner in HubSpot or Salesforce when a health score drops by a set amount.
API and webhooks
Gainsight has a public API with documentation for companies and relationships. Use it to push signals Gainsight does not collect itself, such as billing events from your own system, and to pull health scores into a reporting dashboard.
MCP server
Gainsight publishes an official MCP server for Gainsight CS, and one for Staircase. The Skilljar, Communities and PX servers are in beta. An agent connected through MCP can answer questions such as which accounts renewing this quarter have a falling score, and draft the outreach for each one.
Built-in automation
Playbooks are the built-in automation. Build one for the risk case: when a score turns red, create a task, assign the owner and log the follow-up. Staircase AI and Atlas agents can also act on signals and renewals on long-tail accounts, which is where a person's time runs out first.
