Interactive pricing tables

What it is
An interactive pricing table lets the client change the proposal before accepting. They might tick optional extras, choose between packages or change a quantity, and the total updates on screen straight away. Better Proposals, GetAccept, PandaDoc, Proposify, Prospero and Qwilr all offer a version of this, so the signed quote reflects exactly what the client chose.
Why it matters
A static quote means any change goes back and forth by email, and each round slows the sale. Interactive tables let the client customise the offer and see the effect on cost immediately. They also make upselling easier, as optional items can be shown without pressure. They matter for businesses that sell packages, add-ons or variable quantities. If every project is priced as a single custom fee, a simple table is enough.
What to check
- Check whether the client can select optional items and whether the total updates immediately.
- Ask whether quantities, discounts and tax can be set up in the table.
- Test whether the choices the client makes carry into the signed document and any invoice.
- Ask if you can reuse a saved pricing table across proposals.
