Make vs Process Street

Make logovsProcess Street logo
Make moves data between your apps without a person. Process Street guides people through a repeatable procedure and records what they did. Pick by what breaks today.

The verdict

Ask what breaks today. If people copy data between tools by hand, for example from a form into a CRM and then into a chat channel, pick Make. If the same procedure gets done differently every time, such as onboarding a client or a new hire, pick Process Street. Plenty of teams end up with both. Process Street owns the human steps and the audit trail, and Make moves the data in between. If you can only start with one, start with the problem that costs you the most hours. Make has a free plan to test on. Process Street has no free plan, only a trial of its Pro plan.

Who each is for

Make logo

Choose Make if…

Pick Make if you run an operations or marketing team that has outgrown simple A to B automations. It suits flows that need a condition, a loop or several apps in sequence, and the canvas shows that logic better than a list of steps. You also pay by credits, not by seat, so adding colleagues does not raise the bill. I still prefer Zapier for ease and n8n for flexibility, but Make covers most of the ground in between. Expect a steeper learning curve, and run your most complex scenario on the free plan to see how many credits it uses.

Choose Process Street if…

Pick Process Street if your pain is people, not data. It suits a lean B2B team that onboards clients or staff, runs the same delivery steps for every project, or has to show an auditor what was done. Steps can branch on answers, and approvals and forms sit inside the run. I first used it in 2020, when I was building conditional workflows for SOPs after reading Work the System. It has since moved towards compliance-heavy teams, so someone who only wants one simple checklist may find it heavy.
