How to automate Buffer
MCP server
Buffer has an official MCP server, included on every plan, including the free one. You connect it from Settings and Integrations in Buffer, and then your assistant can draft posts, schedule them, check your queue and review recent performance.
One idea: ask Claude which of last month's posts did best, and have it queue three new posts in the same style. Posts land in your Buffer queue for review before they go live.
API and webhooks
Buffer has a developer API, described as a way to connect it to agents, automation tools or your own product. One idea: write a short script that adds a post to Buffer when you publish a new blog article. Check the API reference for webhook support.
No-code automation
Zapier is on the vendor's integration list. Use it to send a new row from a sheet, or a new article from your CMS, into your Buffer queue.
Native integrations
Buffer connects to Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox and Unsplash. A simple routine is to design in Canva and send it straight to Buffer.
