How to automate Zoho CRM

Native integrations

Zoho CRM connects natively to the other Zoho apps, and the Zoho Marketplace lists more than 1,000 apps. If you use Zoho Desk or Zoho Books, start there, so support and invoice data show on the customer record.

API and webhooks

Zoho CRM has a public REST API, currently documented as version 8. Use it to create leads from your own product or site, and to pull deal data into a reporting tool. Check the developer docs for webhook support in your case.

MCP server

Zoho MCP is an official Zoho product that connects AI agents to Zoho apps, including Zoho CRM, and to many other tools. It is separate from the CRM and has its own sign-up. A concrete idea: ask Claude to list deals that have had no activity for two weeks and draft a follow-up for each.

Built-in automation

Workflows and assignment rules come with the CRM, and process automation is on Professional and above. A first workflow: when a new lead arrives, assign it by region and create a follow-up task for the owner. Cadences are available from Standard.
