X Ads API

MCP server

Address
https://ads-api.x.com/mcpSource
What it is
Official remote MCP server shipped and documented by X at docs.x.com/x-ads-api/mcp; Streamable HTTP transport with JSON-RPC/SSE; OAuth2 using the advertiser's own token (scopes ads.read, ads.write, offline.access; media.write for media uploads); access tokens ~2 hours, refresh tokens rotate; works with Grok, Claude Code, or any MCP client. Safety default: campaigns and line items are always created PAUSED, activation requires a separate activate call. Docs claim 74 tools (launch coverage cited 23, incl. 10 write tools). A well-known third-party hosted option also exists (Markifact, https://api.markifact.com/mcp).

How to automate X Ads

Native integrations

Use X's own conversion tracking so results land in your analytics. Dynamic product ads can connect to a product catalogue, so a shop can promote its range without building each ad by hand. An easy first step is to tag every X campaign so you can see its results in Google Analytics.

API and webhooks

The Ads API covers campaign management, audiences, creatives, native lead forms and reporting, with synchronous and asynchronous analytics endpoints. Access needs an application and a short review. A concrete idea: export lead form submissions through the API into HubSpot and create a task for the owner. Check whether webhooks are available; until then, plan on scheduled pulls.
