How to automate Sentry

Native integrations

Connect GitHub so errors link to the commit and the person who changed the code, and connect Slack so new issues land in a channel. Jira and Linear turn an issue into a ticket. One idea: send only new, high-frequency production errors to a channel, and let the rest stay in Sentry.

API and webhooks

Sentry has a public API and JSON webhooks through its integration platform. Webhooks send notifications about installations, issues, errors and alerts to your own endpoint. Use them to open an incident, update a status page or write an entry in your own log when a serious error appears.

MCP server

Sentry runs an official MCP server at mcp.sentry.dev, with OAuth sign-in and an option to scope it to one organisation or project. Connect it to Claude or another coding assistant to search errors, triage issues and pull the context needed to write a fix.
