Manages affiliate and referral programs for SaaS companies that use Stripe for payments.

Why Rewardful

Tracks affiliates and referral partners, manages commission rules and handles payouts for SaaS companies that run on Stripe. Two-way sync with Stripe accounts for upgrades, downgrades, cancellations and refunds. Built for SaaS founders and teams launching or scaling an affiliate programme without engineering resources.

Best for
SaaS founders and teams that bill through Stripe and want to launch an affiliate or referral programme quickly, with tracking, commissions and payouts handled without engineering work.

What it does

Rewardful is affiliate and referral software built for SaaS companies that use Stripe. Affiliates sign up through a branded portal, get tracked links and coupon codes and send visitors to your site. Rewardful tracks the visit through to the Stripe payment, works out the commission and manages the payout.

You set the rules: percentage or fixed commissions, one-time or recurring, cookie length, minimum payout limits and first or last touch attribution. It adjusts commissions for refunds and plan changes, flags suspected self-referrals and can pay affiliates in bulk through PayPal or Wise.

Why you would need it

Referrals are the cheapest growth channel for many SaaS products, but running them in a spreadsheet does not work. Someone has to know which customer came from whom, calculate recurring commissions every month and pay people on time.

You feel the pain the first time you have ten affiliates and a refund comes in. A dedicated tool tracks all of that from the billing data, so you can focus on finding affiliates instead of calculating payouts.

Where it fits

Rewardful sits next to Stripe, which is the source of truth for revenue. Visits are tracked on your site, sign-ups and payments flow through Stripe, and Rewardful reads them. It sits beside your CRM and email tools and does not replace them.

It replaces a spreadsheet and manual payouts, or a heavier partner platform such as PartnerStack for a team that wants something lighter.

What stands out

  • A two-way Stripe sync, with setup the vendor says takes under 15 minutes.
  • Coupon code tracking, for influencers and places where links are not an option.
  • Managed payouts through PayPal and Wise.
  • A REST API, a JavaScript API and signed webhooks.

My take

Rewardful is the straightforward choice for a Stripe-based SaaS. It does a narrow job well, and the pricing is tied to the affiliate revenue you generate, so you pay more only as the programme grows.

What I would watch is the plan caps. Each plan is tied to a level of affiliate-attributed revenue, so a successful programme moves up a tier. Also remember that the tool does not find affiliates for you: you still need to recruit, support and motivate them.

Verdict

Pick Rewardful if you bill through Stripe and want to launch an affiliate programme fast with little engineering. Skip it if you do not use Stripe, or you need multi-tier commissions and a large partner marketplace. FirstPromoter and Tolt are alternatives to compare.

Before you choose

It is built around Stripe

The core integration is with Stripe, and the vendor lists more than 20 other integrations. If you bill through another provider, check that it is supported before you commit. Compare it with tools such as PartnerStack, Tapfiliate and Post Affiliate Pro.

Plans are capped by affiliate revenue

Starter, Growth and Enterprise tiers are based on the monthly revenue your affiliates bring in, and they differ on campaigns and team members. A programme that works will pass a cap, so plan for the next tier. Every plan has a free trial and no transaction fee.

Payouts have rules

Managed payouts run through PayPal and Wise and are for affiliates you pay in bulk. Check the fees and the tax and KYC handling for the countries your affiliates live in before you promise payouts.

Fraud and quality need attention

Self-referral detection helps, but you still need terms for your affiliates and a review of who joins. Decide what is allowed, such as brand-name advertising, before you open the programme.
