Built-in task management
Keep track of work in the tool's own to-do list or task manager, with due dates, without needing a separate app.
On this pageWhat it is
What it is
The tool lets you create tasks, give them due dates, tick them off and see what is open, all inside the same product. For example, Google Calendar has a tasks feature that shows to-dos next to your events, and Motion has a full task manager as part of its planner.
Why it matters
Having tasks and time in one place avoids copying items between a list and a calendar. That is useful for individuals and small teams whose planning is simple. If you already run projects in a dedicated tool with assignments, comments and files, a basic task list will feel limited, and what you really need is a good connection to the tool you already use.
What to check
- Can tasks have due dates, priorities, notes and repeat schedules.
- Can you share or assign tasks to other people.
- Do tasks appear on the calendar, and can you drag them to a time slot.
- Can you import tasks from, or sync them with, another tool.
