Email snooze and follow-up reminders

What it is
Snooze hides an email until a time you choose, then brings it back to the top of your inbox. Follow-up reminders work the other way round: you send a message and the tool reminds you if nobody has replied after a number of days. For example, SaneBox offers both, so a quote sent to a prospect on Monday can come back to your attention on Friday if it has gone unanswered.
Why it matters
Email is often used as a to-do list, and the cost is that things slip. Snooze keeps the inbox clear until a task is actually due. Follow-up reminders protect sales and supplier conversations from going quiet. They matter most if you wait on replies from clients, candidates or partners. If most of your work runs through a task or CRM system that already sends reminders, a separate email reminder adds little.
What to check
- Check whether snoozed emails return at a fixed time you choose or only at preset times.
- Ask how the tool detects that a reply has arrived and cancels the reminder.
- Test whether it works on a phone and in the mail app you already use.
- Ask if reminders can be set for messages you sent from another device.
